Digital to Analog DTV Tuner Converter Box This converter box comes in a nice compact form factor and has buttons on the box for power on/off and channel up/down. The universal remote should be able to control the power, volume and input source on your TV. It is programmed by holding the "TV Power" button on the remote and then pressing the "Up" button until the TV set turns off. The instructions say if the TV does not respond withing 150 trials, then it can not control your TV. The instructions also have IR Code listings - so I assume that an IR blaster should be able to control it. The Electronic Program Guide is limited by the amount of data from the broadcast feed. Some other boxes (like the Zenith DTT900) only show what is currently on, and what will be on next. The tuner sensitivity is almost as good as the Zenith DTT900 - I think I get 1 channel less. If you like style and features, then this box is a good selection. If you want rock solid basic performance, then go with something like the Zenith DTT900/901.

5Satisfied Customer  Feb 01, 2009 By KPE
Strongest signal of the four tuners I've tried, and the best picture quality as well. And this unit has the quickest, most useful remote, too. It's universal, so you don't need to change back and forth between remotes for power, channel, and volume. Box responds quickly to signals from the remote. Setup was a snap, and the menu contains several picture settings. I did not notice any analog channel options, but that's no matter: analog broadcasts soon won't exist.

5Better than the box that came with my Sony HD tv  Apr 07, 2009 By Trurl "trurlthe_constructor"
This is the only digital converter box I've tried, but it seems to work extremely well. I used it on an old CRT Tv and a HD Sony that already had a converter box built in. On the Sony I picked up stations that I previously could not.

The Digital Stream box shuts off so you can watch the old analog signals till they are converted.

Not much to say. It works fine. I use it with the Terk HDTVa Antenna Pro.

1Died after about 6 months of use  Jun 05, 2009 By ramsir
It worked great for about 6 months. It caught about 40 channels with just rabbit ears antenna. Most of them were very clear. LED started blinking weird since a few months. But died completely now. Digital Stream doesn't want to repair or replace as it's out of warranty. Not reliable at all. Stay away.

1I'd give it no stars if it was possible!  Jun 12, 2009 By liat2768 "liat2768"
Worked fairly well for about 6 months - occasionally fuzzy reception but still liveable. then a few weeks ago it started having trouble turning off and on. Two days ago it is stuck with the green light flashing and nothing happening. Can't turn it off or on. I am so ticked off!!! We bought two of these pieces of junk and the other one is showing the same signs.
My feeling is that they are made to last about 6 months and then the parts die on you. DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE!
