Sony Thermal Fuse for 60'' HDTV Apr 06, 2011
By April I have a 2005 Sony HDTV 60'' WEGA. It all of a sudden just goes out and will not turn on. The green light will blink a couple of times and then the red light comes on and blinks 6 times between every pause. After searching the internet I found out this Thermal Fuse has just gone out and it senses when the TV overheats and shuts it off. Service Technicians will charge up to $450 to fix this. I ordered here and it took my husband maybe 15 minutes to change out and now we are up and running perfect again.

Awesome and easy fix! Jun 09, 2011

I too had the 6 red blinking lights of death on my 55in LCD projection TV. I found an article through google search that said I needed this part. I was a little scared having to take my TV apart cause I have never done such a thing. But once I found where to unplug the old wire and plug in the new one, it was simple. Put everything back together and my TV turned right back on! Definitely worth my time instead of calling a tech.

Thanks to the internet folks. It's a hard item to find. I got what exactly I ordered. It's a really simple fix for [certain Sony power failure with 6 red blinking] a 60-inches Sony Projection TV.

By Narath My Sony have 6 red blinking and I been searching around for the solution. Thermal Fuse is the way, it cheap, easy to install and it hard to find beside here.

By P-mo Fast shipment. Glad I didn't pay a repair man $250.00 for something I fixed myself in 30 minutes for 15.00
